Brian Oduti graduated in law from Makerere University, Kampala. He has worked in refugee law with the Lutheran World Federation, and governance with ActionAid International Uganda. He is a member of the Chatham House Common Futures Conversations, a 2021 World Literacy Foundation ambassador, a judge of the 2021 and 2022 Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competitions, a 2022 AU-EU digital for development journalism competition shortlistee and a 2022 Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Uganda Youth for Policy Migration Fellow. His writing has appeared in Maple Tree Literary Supplement, Global Voices, and a Writivism Literary Initiative/Black Letter Media print anthology titled Odokonyero. Currently, he is the Research and Partnerships Lead at The Citizen Report, a civics NGO based in Kampala.
